Bran Castle tickets in 2026 at a glance
The standard ticket covers the castle and the Royal Park. Adults pay RON 100, seniors from 65 years RON 70, students with proof RON 60 and children from 5 to 17 years RON 40. School groups of 20 or more children pay RON 30 per child. Prices include 11 percent VAT and 2 percent TMI, and the prices here are the regular ones for 2026.
You can buy online, and any reduced ticket needs proof at the gate. The castle is open every day of the week, but Monday starts at noon. The end times in the hours table are the last admission.

Bran Castle opening hours
Two seasonal plans. The end times are the last admission.
| Season | Monday | Tuesday to Sunday |
|---|---|---|
| Summer, 1 April to 1 November | 12:00 to 19:00 | 09:00 to 19:00 |
| Winter, 2 November to 31 March | 12:00 to 18:00 | 09:00 to 18:00 |
Two things break the pattern in 2026. In the days around 31 October only Halloween tickets are sold, so check the dates for your year; the Halloween page has the programme. On 7 November 2026 the last admission is at 15:00.
Bran Castle entrance fee
Prices in Romanian lei (RON) for 2026. Reductions need proof.
| Visitor | Price in 2026 |
|---|---|
| Adults | RON 100 |
| Seniors from 65 years | RON 70 |
| Students with proof | RON 60 |
| Children 5 to 17 years | RON 40 |
| School groups from 20 children | RON 30 per child |
| Children 0 to 5 years | Free |
| People in institutional care | Free |
| People with disabilities | Free |
The age bands touch at 5: children from 0 to 5 years are free and children from 5 to 17 years pay RON 40. If your child is exactly 5, check the category at the ticket desk or when you book. For most visitors, the adult or senior standard ticket is the only one that matters.
Add-ons and the Fast Pass
Extras are sold separately and in combined tickets.
| Option | Adult | Child |
|---|---|---|
| Time Tunnel | RON 30 | RON 30 |
| Torture Rooms | RON 30 | RON 30 |
| Royal Tour Plus Fast Pass | RON 170 | RON 110 |
| Royal Tour Plus Fast Pass, guided | RON 210 | RON 150 |
The Fast Pass is a separate priority lane up to the castle entrance. It does not mean you skip all waiting inside the castle. The guided version runs in English or Romanian on the full hour and adds the extra attractions and a souvenir photo. The Time Tunnel and the Torture Rooms are exhibitions with their own tickets; see inside Bran Castle. For most visitors, the standard ticket is enough, and the Fast Pass is worth considering on a busy day.
Buying a ticket online
Online sale is offered, and reduced tickets are checked against proof at the entrance, so bring an ID, a student card or the document that shows your category. A tour product is not a Bran ticket unless its inclusions say so, so read what is included before you pay for the entry twice.
If you travel from Brașov, the castle is about 30 km away, and the page on the trip from Bucharest explains the train and bus. Peleș has its own ticket and is closed on Monday and Tuesday, so a combined day needs a day when both are open; see Peleș Castle and Sinaia.
