Peleș Castle at a glance
Peleș Castle stands in Sinaia and was built for King Carol I. Construction and extensions ran from 1873 to 1914. It is a royal summer residence in a forest setting, so it has nothing to do with Vlad the Impaler or the Dracula legend. If you want the story behind Bran, read the Dracula page instead.
Most visitors pair Peleș with Bran on one trip. That works only on days when Peleș is open, and Peleș has fewer opening days than Bran. Check the closures below first, then decide on Bran Castle tours or a self-guided day.

Peleș Castle tickets and Pelișor prices in 2026
Two houses, two tickets. Reduced prices need proof at the entrance.
| Visitor | Peleș, ground floor and first floor | Pelișor, full visit |
|---|---|---|
| Adult | RON 100 | RON 30 |
| Pensioner | RON 50 | RON 15 |
| Pupil, student or European Youth Card | RON 25 | RON 7.50 |
The prices are the 2026 tariffs for the full visit of each house. Preschool children and school holiday free entry fall under the museum's detailed conditions, so do not assume that every minor enters free. Ask for the current conditions before you travel with children.
Opening days and conservation closures
The regular schedule is the same for both houses. Closures come on top of it.
Regular program
Wednesday 10:00 to 17:00. Thursday to Sunday 09:15 to 17:00. Monday and Tuesday are closed. The last individual entry is 16:00 at Peleș and 16:15 at Pelișor.
Pelișor closure
Pelișor is closed from 28 September to 3 November 2026 for cleaning and preventive conservation.
Peleș closure
Peleș is closed from 2 November to 1 December 2026 for cleaning and preventive conservation. Check the dates again before you book.
If you plan a trip in autumn or early winter, a closed Peleș is the main risk for a combined day. Choose another day or swap the stop for the old town of Brașov.

- Tickets cannot be changed or refunded.
- The regular museum guided tour costs no extra fee.

- Discounts need proof, such as a student card.
Because the slots are limited, book before you plan the rest of the day around Peleș.

Combining Peleș with Bran Castle
Two separate castles, two separate bookings.
Pick a day when both are open
Peleș is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Plan the combination for Wednesday to Sunday and confirm that your date is not inside a closure.
See Peleș first
Peleș has the earlier cut-off, with the last individual entry at 16:00 and Pelișor at 16:15. Bran's last entry is 19:00 from 1 April to 1 November and 18:00 from 2 November to 31 March, and on Monday it opens only at 12:00. Put Peleș in the morning and Bran in the afternoon.
Buy two tickets
There is no joint Bran and Peleș ticket. Check the opening days and tickets of each castle separately. For Bran, see the Bran Castle tickets page.
Start from Bucharest or Brașov
Sinaia and Bran are different towns, so a combined day means a transfer between them. The Bucharest day trip guide explains the train and bus options toward Brașov and Bran.
